Introducing the Shaw Rocket Fund Accelerator Writing Contest
As part of Shaw Rocket Fund’s ongoing commitment to championing quality children’s content, we’ve teamed up with Wattpad and production partner, Shaftesbury, to create inclusive narratives for Canadian teens.
Now is your chance to have your story heard and to win the opportunity of a lifetime!
The Shaw Rocket Fund Accelerator Writing Contest is intended as a three-year program. We are excited to be working with a new production partner each year, and are thrilled that Shaftesbury is joining us for 2020 as our inaugural partner.
How To Enter
In 1,500 words or less, write the beginning of a compelling story on the Wattpad platform aimed at a teen audience. Your characters, themes, and settings should be rooted in diversity and reflect the narratives that Canadian teens would like to see brought to life.
Your story can be about ANYTHING, as long as it portrays an inclusive storyline, a diverse cast and is aimed at a teen audience.
The grand prize winner will receive a virtual internship with Shaftesbury, where their winning entry will be adapted into a 10-part narrative podcast!
